Trick, Cory-Bear, Freya, and I say hi!
Heya, fellow cat-friends! My mature-to-elderly rescued trio and I are new around here and poking around looking for new friends!
The oldest is a tuxie boy who showed up, the day before Hallowe’en, 15 year ago, about 6 months old. We could never find where he came from, but he immediately befriended an older (now gone) cat who was grieving badly for a still-older cat and gave him back his interest in life. He's dealing with some health issues (arthritis in his hips, IBS, possibly a touch of dementia but with this one, who can be sure?) That’s Trick (Trick-or-Treat, in full). He’s crazy.

Cory-Bear was orphaned at two weeks old, I hand-raised him and he considers me his mom. The shelter decided that since he’s black and he had recurrent sniffles, they were going to… you know… but I’d been bottle-feeding him for 7 weeks, and no freakin’ way. Foster-fail. He’s my baby, who remembers nothing but love and safety, and he’s the centre of my heart. My roommate calls him my son. He has a few health issues too, mostly his immune system being a bit hyperactive, the meds for which are messing with his weight, and possibly some mild neurological stuff going on, but he doesn't know or care. He’s ten.

Freya’s our little tabby girl, she was rescued by a nice lady, heavily pregnant but not even an adult herself, and obviously a housecat but out on her own. She was a foster-fail too - she and Cory bonded, and she was just so happy with us, we figured we could stretch the budget a bit. She’s basically attached herself to my roommate and has decided she is her human. She’s the sweet one who has mastered cute into a dangerous weapon, the perpetual kitten despite being ten years old.

My roommate/best friend and I belong to them and do our best to spoil them hopelessly. This, of course, is all the important info about our household. If you want the less-important stuff about me, well, I write madly (fantasy), I have disabling anxiety/depression, I'm always a bit strange, I'm in my mid 40s, and she/her are fine as pronouns. So... hi! *waves*
