Because I've bored everyone I know to death with talk of my cats, and now it's your turn.
I have three cats. Rusty (otherwise known as Sausage, Sossie, Pudding or Pud) who is a red point Siamese cross. He was surrendered to the RSPCA by his previous owners for being 'aggressive'. Honestly, I think his previous owners just didn't want to bother with an energetic young cat. Sossie has had my heart ever since he stood up on his back legs and nibbled my fingers at the shelter. He was apparently aged 1 when we got him, but I think he may have been younger than that.
Beau (otherwise known as Bobble, Bobo or Bobcat) is a smoky tabby and was surrendered to the RSPCA by his previous owners because they were moving house. He was six. Also unneutered. Nice pet ownership there, previous owners. When we found him, he was sharing a cage with Sossie. He's a very polite cat who meows loudly and waits until you say 'Come on up' before he jumps onto the bed.
Then there is Maddy, aka Muffin, Stuffin, Stuffy or Fatty. She is a tortoiseshell cat. My partner found her in a pet shop several years ago. Although we would rather go to the RSPCA for a cat now, I'm still glad we have our Stuffycat.

This picture is Rusty lying on his back, holding a soft toy. The soft toy looks remarkably like Rusty. Rusty looks distinctly unenthused at the prospect of fatherhood and probably wishes his human didn't take so many exploitative photographs of him and a variety of soft toys.

This picture is of Bobble, lying on a black leather computer chair that has seen better days. He has ripped the leather seating to shreds. We actually had to buy new computer chairs and now he's trying to steal them as well.

Here is Muffin, sitting on my computer desk in between me and the computer. She gets very jealous about the computer and often tries to sit on the keyboard so I can't see the screen. Needy little thing. <3
I have zillions more photos at my flickr as well, if you're interested.

Date: 2010-03-28 06:41 am (UTC)Cats don't approve of anything that takes your attention away from them, I find. I had a cat for many years (see icon) who used to do what your Muffin does. Not only that, he would sometimes pitch a mini-tantrum if I talked too long on the phone. It was hilarious. *g*

Date: 2010-03-28 03:45 pm (UTC)Muffin looks kind-of like one of mine, and sounds just about as needy. XD Oh, kitties.
Also, your icon is win.

Date: 2010-03-29 09:55 am (UTC)I'll try to get together an introduction post that does his awesomeness more justice.
(Can you tell I still miss him, though he died nearly two years ago?)
