catsHi! I'm Kaji, and I've had cats all my life. I adore Siamese, as they have been a constant in my family. Believe it or not, most of them have been rescue cats -- our local animal shelter calls my parents first when they get a Siamese in. My boys, Tristan and Galahad, are not Siamese, but I love them just as much. I love all cats!
This is Tristan, aka the Shedmaster 3000. He's a rescue kitty and about 12 years old now. He's also a dick. He can be the most affectionate cat you've ever met, but he's also a dick. He wakes me up in the morning by tapping on my face with his paw, claws just lightly extended so he doesn't break the skin. Eyes and lips are his favorite targets. If I pull the covers over my head, he'll move on to stage two: knocking things off my nightstand. He also will walk over to my other boy, Galahad, and swat him just to get him to move so he can claim his sleeping space. Yes, he's a dick, but I wouldn't give him up for the world.
And this is Galahad. He's also a rescue kitty, but he's only six years old. He's very sweet but also very shy. Any time there's a knock at the door he hides. When the cable guy came by, he completely disappeared. I tore the apartment apart, even ran around outside thinking he had somehow slipped out. Eventually, he casually appeared as if nothing were wrong. I still have no idea where he was hiding. G is also the whiniest cat that ever whined his way down the pike. He loves treats, and when I walk into the kitchen, he's right there, crying and crying as if he hasn't been fed in days. Give me treats or I shall perish!
My parents have two cats as well, which I consider mine. :) This is Baby. She is The Queen of All She Surveys. She's tiny and hyperactive and shameless. She will jump up on your shoulder while you're eating and try to steal food right off your fork. She's a total attention whore and loves to go outside (supervised in the backyard only). We get the occasional deer in the backyard, and she will chase them away. Very territorial, our Baby. :)
Lastly we have Chief. He's the most laid back cat I know. Well, except when he's harassing Baby. He loves to sit up above her on our cat tree and reach over and whack her when she's not looking.
